Use stopwatch for a Non-Reading task

Stopwatch Non-Reading Task

Open a task > Press Start > Press Stop > Adjust recorded time (optional) > Click the ‘Add Time Spent’ button.

Recorded time will be added to the time spent. Time needed will decrease. Cushion for all affected pages will update.

Use stopwatch for a Reading task

Stopwatch Reading Task

Open a task > Press Start > Press Stop > Adjust recorded time (optional) > Click the ‘Add Pages Read’ button > Enter how many pages you’ve read > Check if you want to use your average time per page as your new estimate > Click Add

Recorded pages will be added to your progress. If you’ve checked that you want to use your average time per page as your new estimate, all your readings from the same reading source will recalculate their time needed. Cushion for all will be updated.

Track progress manually

Manually Track Non Reading Task

Non-Reading tasks only 

Open task. Slide the slider and time will be saved automatically. Or Click the ‘ Add Time Spent’ button and enter time manually.

Shovel will recalculate your cushion times for all tasks affected by this change.

Add pages read manually

Manually add pages read

Open a reading task > Press the ‘Add Pages Read’ button > A dialogue will open. Record how many pages you just read. If you fill in how long it took you, you can choose to use your average time per page as your new estimate for future readings from the same reading source.
